Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram - Founders & Early Leaders

Shri Ramakant Keshav alias Balasahab Deshpande was born on 26 December 1913 in Amravati. He played an active role in the Quit India Movement in 1942 and was imprisoned for six months by the British government.

Shri Morubhao Ketkar was born in 1914. From childhood, he was active in social service and contributed significantly to the development of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.

After the untimely death of Raja Dev Sharan Singh of Jashpur, his son Vijay Bhushan Singh was crowned at the age of 5. He actively contributed to tribal welfare and community development.

Shri Mishri Lal Tiwari was born in 1916 in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. He contributed significantly to education and social services through Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
